At King's St Alban's the extra-curricular life of the school is exceptionally varied, enabling each girl and boy to take advantage of opportunities to widen their experience and take risks. They may even discover fields in which they excel.
Clubs change each term and there is a very full programme of music activities that runs mainly during the midday break. View our list example list of clubs here. We offer excellent fee-inclusive wrap around care from 8.00am until 6.00pm. The children can take part in one of our many clubs or complete their homework in our late room.
Trips and Visits
Offsite visits are planned each half-term for all year groups and are chosen to enrich the children's study of the curriculum.
Visiting professionals offer a variety of practical workshops - recent examples include architecture, dental hygiene, break dancing and life in World War II.
Year Six Summer Term Carousel
In the summer term of Year Six the children experience special IT and Science Weeks as well as spending a week at the King's Outdoor Education Centre in the Black Mountains of Wales and visiting Normandy in France.
The curriculum covers all the required areas of learning at each stage and is richly enhanced by the wide range of extra-curricular activities available. Both parents and pupils are highly satisfied with the range of the curricular and extra-curricular programmes. Achievement in extra-curricular activities is strong.
