The inaugural London Drinks to be held at The Cartoon Museum. 2nd September New Pupil Induction and Parent Welcome
A welcome to the school for new pupils and their parents, who will be joining the King's Community in our 475th year. During this event, the historical significance of the anniversary will be explained. Over the course of the year, as part of the celebrations, a photograph of the pupils entering the Foundation during the 2016/17 Anniversary will be taken to mark the occasion.

The nation-wide Big Draw - a collaborative, drop-in drawing workshop - comes to the Art School once again. This year's theme is 'Steam-powered Big Draw', aiming to give the Arts parity with Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths so that STEM becomes STEAM. All members of the Community are welcome to join us throughout the afternoon and contribute to the KSW Big Draw.

19th October KSW v RGS 1st XV Rugby Match
In the spectacular surroundings of Sixways Stadium, home to the Worcester Warriors, the 1st XV teams from the two leading Worcester independent schools go head to head to compete for the Modus Cup. The match is always hotly anticipated; join us and support our boys in blue.

4th November Shakespeare Festival: 'Romeo and Juliet'
Our Y9 and Y10 drama club members perform in this exciting edited version of 'Romeo and Juliet'. They are directed by members of our A Level Drama group and all students have worked together to create this unique piece of drama.
Tickets are £4 and proceeds will go to Help for Heroes

9th November Foundation Choral Concert
For the first time, choirs from all three schools in the King's Foundation will sing together. The evening will feature a performance of Alexander L’estrange’s Zimbe, a collection of African songs accompanied by members of the school jazz band, The King’s Swingers.

11th November Armistice Day Service
On Armistice Day the School holds its own commemorative service  to remember all former pupils who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. Wreaths are laid on behalf of both current and former pupils, and each year, we invite a former pupil who has served with the Armed Forces to give the address. We look forward to welcoming Lt Cdr (retd) Ed Sutcliffe (Cl 82-92) to College Hall as our speaker this year.

11th  November WWI Lecture and Lunch
As part of the School's commemoration programme for the World War One centenary, we are running the third of our series of annual WWI lectures, followed by lunch. Previous topics have included the Battle of Gheluvelt and Woodbine Willie;  this year, our speaker is Dr Adrian Gregson who will talk to us about the Battle of the Somme. All are welcome.

Following the feedback from OVs, the biennial London Drinks has been introduced as a more informal occasion at which to meet, socialise and network with other members of the King’s Community.  We will alternate this event each year with a more formal dinner. 475th Anniversary Exhibition: Joint with Worcester Cathedral
The 475th Anniversary Exhibition will run in Worcester Cathedral until Christmas, and will feature historic material relating to the foundation of the school. It is curated jointly by the King's School and Cathedral Archivists and will be a unique opportunity to see material from both archives on display in the same location.

29th November 475th Anniversary Lecture: The Foundation of the King's School, Worcester
An evening lecture on the foundation of the school by renowned historian and former pupil Andrew Reekes. The lecture is open to the whole King's community.
