Introducing the King’s School Worcester Parents’ Committee...

The committee is set up to organise a variety of social and fundraising events throughout the year to help raise funds for particular school projects and local charities. A group of about fifteen parents and some senior members of the school’s staff get together during the year to organise events such as the School Fête, the Parents’ Ball and the Quiz Night.

Each year we raise thousands of pounds which contribute towards projects, facilities and equipment, as well as making donations to local charities. Projects funded have included furnishing the Sixth Form centre, the climbing wall and adventure playground at King’s St Alban's, the composition of a piece of music to celebrate the school's 475th anniversary together with some portable staging and PA systems.

Through fundraising the Parents' Committee have purchased three very sturdy gazebos which assemble in minutes and create a covered and/or enclosed area six metres by three metres. We use them for many school events but they are available for hire by King’s parents for £30 per gazebo plus a refundable deposit. All funds raised go towards school projects.

If you would like to get involved in any way we would be delighted to hear from you. Don't worry, it doesn't mean you will have to attend endless meetings! We need practical help for each event and a couple of hours of your time would be more than enough to make a difference.
