All children are recognised for their individual strengths and unique qualities. We build strong relationships with every child and work closely with parents to ensure a sense of security and well-being. We recognise that children who feel confident in themselves and their ability have a head start in learning. What each child can do (rather than what they cannot) is the starting point of their learning.

King's St Alban's is academically selective. Importance is placed upon the teaching of English and Mathematics within a broad and balanced curriculum that also places emphasis on the Creative Arts, Science and Technology.

The pupils' attitude to learning is excellent and plays an important part in their academic success and their overall development. In lessons pupils are focused and attentive, and settle quickly to their tasks. They work effectively on their own or co-operatively in groups.
