Year 5 Sports Tour to Stoke
A huge well done to all Year 5 children who attended this trip. They behaved impeccably at all times, even when some were a little star struck after meeting Peter Crouch! A memorable trip was had by all. A big thank you to Mrs. Marshall-Walker, Mr. Bethell and Mr. Turner for their help.

King's 1st XV reach the Semi Finals
It is great to hear news of the senior school rugby boys who have reached the semi final of the Daily Mail Cup. This is a national tournament contested by many top rugby schools in the country and we have 7 boys in the squad who attended Hawford at the start of their rugby career. We wish them all the very best on the 10th March.

Fencing
Nearly all children from Years 1 to 6 attended the Fencing taster session earlier on in the week. The activity will be run by Sports Extra during the summer term. Booking forms will be available before Easter for you to complete and return. Places will be limited so in order to guarantee a place please email me as soon as possible.

More Success..

Swimming success from Bella Woodcock, achieving a time of 47:44 seconds in a first place position during 50m breaststroke competition in Wolverhampton. This time is the fastest in the country at present. Well done Bella!

Isabella Trow has achieved her 4000m distance swimming certificate. That is the same distance as nearly 308 lengths of our school pool! Amazing! Well done Isabella!

Congratulations goes to Maisie Lyons for achieving her Proficiency Level 2&3 Award for trampolining. Well done Maisie!

PE and Other Information
Pupils will continue to rehearse for the Dance Showcase after half term. We will be putting up the stage soon which is another challenge for the children to work with but one which they greatly enjoy.

This year's event will be held on two nights as the demand for seats has been so high in previous years. Ticket sales will be allocated on a first come first served basis. In order for everyone to attend, we ask for parents of Year 3&4 children to attend the Tuesday night performance and parents of Years 5&6 children to attend the Thursday night performance. This should enable enough seating is available for all. I appreciate your cooperation in this and guarantee you another excellent show!

Please can I ask that all children in Years 3-6 have their swimming kit in school as normal.

Reception, Year 1&2 will be completing their second half term of swimming. Please can I remind you that swimming hats are essential and can be purchased from the school office for £3. Dressing gowns and flip flops are also very helpful on PE days.

If you have any sporting successes that you would like to be published in the Sports Pages, please continue to e-mail me at dgoodayle@ksw.org.uk

Happy Half Term!
