Curriculum

Hawford offers a curriculum which is broad and based upon our view that children in the primary years should experience a range of subjects and activities. We aim to ensure that they leave Hawford with a firm grasp of literacy and numeracy in order to be able to achieve the best possible results in our Senior School. We want children to enjoy their learning and to develop a love of learning and a desire to know more.

We firmly believe that children learn best when they discover for themselves. We want our children to ask 'how' and 'why' and to learn to work together as well as independently.

The wide activities programme adds greatly to our curricular delivery and we encourage all children to take a full and active part in all of our school activities.
