Beyond the Classroom

At King's St. Alban's the extra-curricular life of the school is exceptionally varied. The range of opportunity on offer enables each girl and boy to discover fields in which they can excel.

After-school clubs change each term and there is a very full programme of music activities that runs mainly during the midday break. Offsite visits are planned each half-term for all Year groups and are chosen to enrich the children's study of the curriculum. Visiting professionals offer a variety of practical workshops – recent examples include architecture, dental hygiene, break dancing and life in world war two.

In the summer term of Year 6 the children experience special IT and Science Weeks as well as spending a week at the King's Outdoor Education Centre in The Black Mountains of Wales and visiting Normandy in France.
