Background
King's has a fascinating past and in 1998 Caroline Roslington set up the King's School Archive and started gathering together and cataloguing as many photographs, books and 'memorabilia' as could be found.
The current Archivist is Mrs. Pauline Baum.
The Archive is now based in Edgar Tower and has many items including photographs, books, school caps and a few dinner plates from The Hostel, as well as documents of all kinds.
We are constantly trying to add to the collection so if you have or know of any old King's photographs, books and items which you would like to be preserved in the Archive, please send them to us or better still come and visit - all materials will be looked after well and will be returned to you as and when you need them back.
Sixth Form Archives Team & the "Raiders Club"
The Sixth Form Archive team is led by Mrs Baum and consists of members of the Sixth Form who meet after school. They assist with the running of the Archive, particularly with the accession of new items and setting up displays. The "Raiders" Club" is for lower school pupils and meets on Tuesdays during long break. During November 2011 we will be running a "Raiders Quiz" which is a quiz based on items currently on display in the Archive, or events and facts mentioned in the book "The King's School Worcester".
