Lunch for School House OVs from 1947-1952

The Seventyish London Bienniel lunch for School House OVs will be held at the Oxford and Cambridge Club, Pall Mall, London on Monday 14th May 2012.

This will be the 5th luncheon meeting and  all School House OVs whose time at the House included any of the years between 1947 and 1952 at the time of Dan McTurk's Housemastership are invited. This year the event will be attended by Rory McTurk ( Dan's son) who was a youngboy at the House in this time. Just under twenty lunchers took part in 2010 and there is room for more, so if you would like to meet up again with some old faces please contact Francis Bennett,

The Princess Marie Louise room at the Oxford and Cambridge Club, Pall Mall, London was the venue for the fourth biennial "Seventyish" lunch, bringing together OVs whose time at School House overlapped the years 1947 - 1952. Seventeen of us gathered to discuss past times and we were pleased to welcome four newcomers to our party in Mick Morton, Jim Rowley, David Gregory and John Robins. Unfortunately Angus Nisbet, Clifford Rose and Martin Davies were unable to be with us. Apart from the four newcomers those who attended were Andrew Hambling, George Beckmann, Gerald Lindner, Gordon Wrigley, Graham Jackson, John Brushfield, John Whitehead, Martin Lorenz, Mike Sykes, Peter Raderecht, Richard Rayson, Richard Ager-Harris andFrancis Bennett. We lunched on salmon salad, quail and raspberry cheesecake plus plenty of wine - a far cry from School lunches when we were there - and the afternoon was considered a great success.
