2nd Old Hawfordian Day

On a beautifully sunny day on Sunday, 14th June King's Hawford staged its second Old Hawfordians' Day with over 100 former pupils and parents visiting the school for a reunion. The visitors included five of the original fifteen pupils who started at the school in 1955 as well as the first Headmaster, Douglas Garrad and his wife, Mary Ann Garrad. The school was open for tours and many remarked on the developments that had taken place. Most reassuringly the former pupils also commented that the spirit of the school and its commitment to outdoor learning was still very much as they found it. There was a general agreement to return again in 2011 to renew acquaintances.
