Regimental Reunion: The Glorious First of June

Every year for many years, retired officers of The Worcestershire Regiment living in or near Worcestershire, have celebrated the anniversary of the battle of The Glorious First of June, a naval battle fought off Ushant on that date in 1794. The 29th Worcestershire Regiment served as Marines on board two Royal Navy ships during the battle. After the defeat of the French Navy, the Regiment was awarded the Naval Crown which, to this day, is part of the Regimental crest.

The party this year was held in the School Gardens at King's.
