Zac Purchase Visit - November 2008
Zac Purchase (Os 97-04), Olympic gold medallist in the lightweight double scull in Beijing, returned to King's to name a new rowing VIII in his honour.
The boat was bought with money bequeathed to King's by former Head of Rowing, Richard Gabriel, and two donations from Romano Subiotto (Ca 74-79) and Hugh Scurfield (Cl 43-54).
Zac spoke in four assemblies at the senior school and King's St Albans and Hawford and signed countless autographs for delighted pupils.
