"Way back in 1900, colours for the OV Club were introduced. The reason, according to Michael Craze in his history of King's, was that five Oxford OVs had written in The Vigornian of their 'mortification' and 'sense of shame' in not having colours in an undergraduate world wholly coloured. Dark blue and white (the school colours) and chocolate (for difference) were proposed and adopted. At this stage, the range was limited to ties (1s. 6d.), hat, ribbons and waist scarves.

While the cost of a tie has increased, so too has the range of items available and I hope that there will be something in this capsule OV Collection which will appeal to you. From meeting up with old friends to playing sport with new ones, this is something for everyone.

All profits raised from the sale of merchandise will go to The Development Trust to increase funds for bursaries and building development."
