Brian Papps (Cr 40-44)

We are very sorry to announce the sad news of the death of Brian Papps (Cr 40-44) on 9th July 2010. He was 84. His widow, Jean, said that his death was the end of a long struggle and it had been a battle they could not win.

A Service of Thanksgiving was held at St. Mary's Church, Chepstow on Thursday 22nd July.   Donations, if desired, to St. David's Foundation or SSAFA Forces Help to Philip Blatchly & Son, 5 Station Road, Chepstow, NP16 5PA, 01291 624939.

We last saw Brian at the Annual Reunion Dinner 2009 where he was presented with the Chappel Memorial Award being the most senior OV at the event. It was a very special occasion and meant a lot to him and Jean.
