After School Clubs
The children in the pre-preparatory department who remain in school beyond 4.00pm may enjoy a range of activities and games. Some of the eldest may join junior school clubs when these offer an appropriate experience.
In the junior school after-school Clubs run (mainly) from 4.00 - 5.00 pm each evening. With the exception of Sailing, Riding, Judo, Climbing and Ballet, where outside coaches or facilities are employed, all Clubs are run by school staff and are not charged. Music
Many music rehearsals take place at lunchtime to avoid clashes with other activities. There are Senior and Junior Choirs (100+ girls and boys) and a Chamber Choir of Year 6 boys; an Orchestra of 30+ instrumentalists; String Group with 20+ players; a Wind Band and Flute Choir plus two Recorder Groups. Informal concerts are held twice a term in the St. Alban's Chapel, formal concerts take place twice a year in the Theatre. Our annual Carol Service is held in the Cathedral.
