Outdoor Education

Early in the Autumn our Year Five children enjoy a day spent at a local adventure and water sports centre, aimed at team building for the year ahead. They tackle sailing or raft building, archery, a climbing wall or rope course. The School makes full use of the King's Outdoor Education centre, The Old Chapel, which is idyllically set near Crickhowell in the heart of the Black Mountains. Each of the Year Six Forms love their week long camps each May. These involve stream surveying, sketching, walking, navigation and survival craft - including the chance to build and sleep out in a woodland shelter.
