The School Day

Children may be supervised at school from 8.00am to 5.50pm.

For ages: 4-7

8.00am	Early Club
8.40am	Registration then Assembly
9.00am	Lessons
10.10am	Break; milk and fruit
10.45am	Lessons
12.00pm	Lunch-time – see Menu
1.20pm	Registration and Lessons
2.30-3.00pm	Break and snack
3.00pm-end of school day	Lessons
3.20-3.40pm	The taught day ends – staggered for each class by 10 minutes

Clubs run until 5.00pm and a Late Room is available (uncharged) to 5.50pm.

For some children the day starts at 8.00am with Early Club.  The remainder arrive from 8.30am.  They are met in the entrance foyer and taken to classrooms to play before registration at 8.40am, then on to Assembly every day at 8.50am.  Lessons follow, split by a thirty five minute break that includes time for milk and fruit.  Lunch is taken between 12.00 and 12.30pm in the hall when all the children enjoy a hot meal from our varied menu.  The remainder of the midday break provides time for play.  In the afternoon there are further lessons and a thirty minute break that includes a snack at 3.00pm. The children then return to the classroom for further lessons or a story before the taught day ends at 3.20pm for Reception, 3.30pm for Year 1 and 3.40pm for Year 2.  Most of the children are collected; others play quietly before going on to Late Room where thay can have a snack before enjoying quiet games and activities whilst waiting to be collected.  This service is not charged and closes at 5.50pm.

For some children the day starts with Breakfast Club at 8.00am. The remainder arrive from 8.15am and play until the bell for registration, then on to Assembly every day at 9.00am. Four, forty minute lessons follow split either side of a twenty minute break when there is time for milk and a healthy snack. Lunch is taken between 12.30 and 1.00pm in the Dining Hall and 95% of the children enjoy a hot meal chosen from an extensive menu. The remainder of the midday break provides time for play or to attend a club, often a musical activity. In the afternoon there are three further forty minute lessons.

The taught day ends at 3.40pm. Some of the children are collected; others play before going on to a Club. A Late Room is available too. This is a quiet room where the children may complete Homework, read, or later, play games whilst waiting to be collected. It is not charged and closes at 5.50pm.
