Useful Information

At Summer Club your child can expect to take part in all programmes and activities offered, regardless of ability or experience. We have an extensive range of brilliant educational, arts and crafts and sports activities, chosen to appeal to every age group. Put this with a day care programme that will keep all children occupied in a safe and caring environment and you have a summer club that remains fresh whether your child is with us for a day, a week or the whole summer holiday!
Each day includes two breaks (giving a chance to re-fuel with a snack and drink provided by us) and lunchtime, which allows for siblings and friends taking part in different activities to meet up. Lunchtime lasts an hour, and children can eat and catch up with friends for half an hour, then spend the rest of the time playing games, running around, singing on the karaoke machine or just chilling out - all supervised, of course! Parents are required to provide a packed lunch every day.
Children can be signed in any time from 8.00am. You may park within the school grounds until 9.00am, after which time the space will be used for the children. Sign-in time is an ideal opportunity to ask questions about the day and pass on information regarding your child to the Day Care Team, including pick up arrangements. Once signed-in, your child can participate in any of the free choice activities, which include and art table, sports and games, to keep them active whilst the majority of children are arriving. Children will be offered a similar range of activities while waiting to be collected - sign-out time is an opportunity for our team to give feedback on the day and for you to collect any work produced by your child, before taking them home happy and exhausted! All children must be collected by 5.50pm - our Day Care Team will work very hard to ensure your child has a fantastic time and we reserve the right to charge an additional fee of £5 per 15 minutes for a late pick up.
You will be able to contact your Summer Club leaders throughout the day via their mobile phones - the numbers will be provided during sign-in. Please use this number if a different person will be collecting your child (for which a password will be needed), if you need to pass on important information, or if you just want to check that your child has settled in and is happy.
Mobile phones should not be brought in by children - if found they will be collected by members of the Day Care Team and returned at the end of the day.

At Summer Club we believe that children will flourish best in an atmosphere of mutual respect and encouragement where everyone knows what is expected of them. We concentrate on encouraging good behaviours and ensuring that children enjoy their time. Staff treat children with respect, promoting an atmosphere of trust; should the positive atmosphere be compromised by disruptive or inappropriate behaviour, our staff will explain to the children involved why such behaviour is unacceptable - if the problem cannot be resolved, staff may have no choice but to exclude the child(ren) from Summer Club.
Although we take great care to ensure the safety of children at all times, we cannot accept liability for personal injury or loss of property that may occur. Parents should make their own arrangements for personal injury insurance if they wish to do so. All children attending The King's School, Worcester (including King's St. Alban's and King's Hawford) are covered, if subscribed, by the general personal accident insurance scheme.
In the event of cancellation, we will retain 50% of any fees paid if given less than four weeks' notice, and 100% of any fees paid if the notice is less than two weeks.
