Fanos went to King's via an 11+ scheme which no longer exists and he recognises that had it not been for his free place he probably would not have gone to King's. Without a free place he would never have benefitted from the time spent at King's, not just academically, but through what he says was a welcome balance of sport, life-long friendships and the not so occasional telling-off.
After King's Fanos studied Business, Society and Politics at Aston University and went on to enjoy a successful career in the City. Fanos now manages his own personal investments and sits as a trustee on The King's School Worcester Development Trust. He is also the Chairman of the Investment Committee and is responsible for reviewing and monitoring the investments of the Enduring Bursary Fund. |
It was the opportunities that Fanos received at King's through his free place that encouraged him to support the Enduring Bursary Fund.
