Mary Wightman (Hon OV)

Mary first donated to the Enduring Bursary Fund in 2010 and has made an additional donation during 2011.

Mary is the mother of an OV, Keith Wightman, who sadly passed away in 2007. Keith had spent much of his working life in Asia where he had indulged his passion for golf and, in Mary's words, lived life to the full. He loved his time at King's and had kept in close contact with many of his contemporaries even after moving to Asia.

Keith had valued his time at King's so much and when he died Mary wanted more able children to be able to have a first class education that they loved, regardless of family circumstances. Making this a reality seemed an appropriate legacy to Keith and her extraordinary generosity to the Enduring Bursary Fund will allow us to continue to provide means-tested bursaries to able pupils in the future.
