The 1976-79 Fellowship Group was established after Ian Smith organised a reunion group at the 2008 Worcester Dinner. Ian agreed to head up the group and received some generous donations to get it off the ground.
In September 2009, Mary Wightman the mother of Keith Wightman (Ch 74-79) donated £10,000 towards the fund and Ian has suggested that Bursaries from the fund are awarded in memory of Keith who died in 2007. In September 2011 the first Bursary will be awarded to a new pupil starting at King's.
Keith had spent much of his working life in Asia where he had indulged his passion for golf and, in his mother's words, lived life to the full. He loved his time at King's and had kept in close contact with many of his contemporaries including Richard (Fred) Underwood who organised a reunion for his year group in September 2009.
Both Fred and Ian hope that you will join them in continuing to provide support to this fellowship bursary group and would like to welcome anybody who is not already in the group to join.
