Boathouse Blog - February 2012
Narrowly escaping a flood during January, the Michael Baker Boathouse edges closer to completion. The scaffolding around the outside has been removed, revealing the exterior in almost its entire glory! There are minor touches on both the interior and exterior, but the front doors to the boat storage level are in place and that means the boats will be going in soon!
It looks as though the site needs a general tidy up and a few finishing touches before it is finished mid-March, but from what can be seen on the outside it is very much nearly there. Inside, the fixtures are being installed in the changing rooms which are located at the back of the building, access to which can be seen in the photographs below.
The view of the building from across the river and against the backdrop of the school site is tremendous and it is a striking addition to the River Severn waterfront.
