Boathouse Blog - June 2011

An exciting new boathouse is on its way! The foundations have been laid, there are a number of low walls becoming visible and now the steel frame is going up! After a great deal of digging, levelling and flattening; finally we are starting to see the early stages of what is going to be an impressive and innovative new building along the Severn Waterfront.

Last week the footpath along the river was reopened and, now that the prow frame is up; we are better able to picture the significant difference this building will make to the appearance of the Severn Waterfront.

The photographs below illustrate the progess that has been made since we last reported on the building; as you can see the foundations are in place ready to start building upwards! The steel frame plan and the image of the prow gives you a better idea of the shape we are working towards.
