The Michael Baker Boathouse
In August 2009 we received a donation of £2.5 million from Michael Baker (Ch 48-55). The money was given to cover the cost of the development of a new Boathouse Complex.
The replacement of the existing Boathouse has long been an ambition for the school but this act of extraordinary generosity has enabled us to bring forward this project by many years.
Work on the project started in December 2010 and the Michael Baker Boathouse is expected to be ready for use by the end of March 2012.
