Boathouse Blog - November 2011

Now that the leaves have fallen off the trees you can see what a dramatic feature the new Boathouse will be along the river front.

As intended, it is looking a lot like a boat now and viewing it from the school gardens it is possible to picture how the top level will open out on to the gardens via a terrace. This will be a fantastic addition to our hospitality facilities at King's, as well as to our sports facilities for rowers and non-rowers alike.

The roof is currently being built and workers inside are busy putting in the necessary infrastructure for the utilities to be installed once the roof is completed.

We are looking forward to the scaffolding coming down and the stunning prow being revealed in all its glory and we hope to have the boats in their beautiful new home during the early stages of 2012.
