Community Service

For those in Year 10 and above there is a Community Service Programme (CSP), which will help you better understand the needs of others. It is run mainly on a Saturday morning when pupils will have the chance to do such things as house and garden maintenance for the elderly, visit old peoples' homes and sheltered housing schemes for young people, help the blind in their homes or become involved with literacy skills in local Primary Schools.

King's pupils visit local primary and junior schools to work with young children, listen to them reading and help with their activities. The activities and work in primary and junior schools takes place in conjunction with Key Skills for the Upper Sixth and is also open to Year 10, 11 and 12 on a Friday lunchtime.
