Chamber Orchestra is a small orchestra made up of the most advanced string players in the school, irrespective of age. It performs a wide range of music from early baroque works to contemporary music, and aims to set the highest standards of performance. Chamber Orchestra regularly offers concerto opportunities to our most senior musicians in their final year in the school. Entry to Chamber Orchestra is by invitation of the Head of Strings.

Second Orchestra comprises players of orchestral instruments from Years 7 and 8. It welcomes players of all standards, and learns a wide range of music, which it performs at school concerts, and at the Fourth Form Music Competition Winners' Concert. It offers a training ground from which players will graduate to First Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra, and Wind Band.

Wind Band
The Wind Band is aimed at pupils from Grade 3 standard and provides an opportunity for wind and brass players to enjoy light repertoire in a relatively informal setting. The Wind Band performs at School Concerts and at the School Fete. Pupils from all year groups are welcome.

Wind Chamber Music
Arranged as appropriate for wind players of varying standards from Year 7 to U6. Players meet at prearranged times and enjoy the experience of performing in small groups. Advanced Chamber Groups have performed at Concerts in College Hall, and on tours to Florence and Barcelona.

Keys Society
The Keys Society was formed in 1974 to provide Concerts in which pupils could perform solo/ensemble items. The concerts also include choral works performed by a small choir. There are five concerts per year and each concert is organised by a senior pupil. They are responsible for providing a balanced programme and for dealing with the administration necessary for the smooth running of a concert.

Each concert contains a variety of music and the standard is always high. Roger Hemingway, who started the Society, wrote three pieces for the choir in 1992 and occasionally new works by members of the Society are performed.
