The Old Chapel

An important adjunct to our outdoor activities is the Old Chapel. The building and surrounding land is owned by the school and is situated in wild and beautiful country in the heart of the Black Mountains in mid-Wales, yet within easy reach of Worcester.

With considerable funding from the Parents' Committee the facilities have recently been upgraded, providing hot and cold running water, toilets, showers, heating, and a fully equipped kitchen. These improvements will make the Old Chapel more attractive for year-round use, beyond the existing regular users: Duke of Edinburgh training expeditions, CCF camps, Year 9 camps, the Himalayan Club, King's St. Alban's and King's Hawford activity visits.

There is now greater scope for academic study weekends, field studies, particularly for Geography and Biology, and team-building programmes, as well as further opportunity to enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside.
