Exchange and Language Trips

Language is for communication and trips and exchanges provide the ideal opportunity to communicate. Opportunities abound, from Year 7 and 8 trips alternating between the Cologne Xmas markets and Parc Asterix, through to Sixth Form work experience for 1 - 3 weeks. Sixth Form linguists are strongly encouraged to immerse themselves in foreign culture and language for 2 - 3 weeks as part of their studies.

The French Department conducts a week-long exchange with Worcester's twin Le Vésinet, near Paris, for Year 10, as well as a Sixth Form exchange with the Sacré-Coeur School in Reims, the capital of Champagne, not to mention an Upper Sixth Form coursework study trip to Paris itself.

The German Department offers alternating annual Year 10 exchanges with Kleve and Cologne jointly, and Memmingen near the Alps in Bavaria, with its summer festival. Sixth Forms visit the ever-changing metropolis of Berlin.

The Spanish Department has recently established links with a school in the city of Zaragoza for a Year 10 exchange.
