A collection of school, House, and sporting photos from the late 1940s.

21st February 2012
Nick Moss (Cr 1966-76)
Following a request to OVs for information to include in the forthcoming memoir of rowing at King's, Nick Moss very kindly brought in a briefcase full of goodies: photos, programmes, results lists, kit, gadgets. Some has been given to us, the rest will be photographed, scanned, and returned to him. Our visual record of the 1970s is less than for other decades, so the new information will be invaluable. Thank you!

23rd January 2012
Natalie Miller (nee Duckworth) CO 1977-79
Has very kindly donated three performance programmes;  from a Keys Society concert, a performance of "Ruddigore" dated 1979, and an adaptation of "Winnie the Pooh" with original words and music by Peter Diamond and Alan Young.

Mark Lambert OV H 1960-65
Mark Lambert visited on Thursday 19th January, to continue research using Archive records for his book on Sir Jack Longland. While Mark was here he toured the school, and was very envious of the theatre and its control room, both a far cry from the facilities available when he was involved with drama productions at King's. Alongside more strenuous pursuits such as mountaineering, Mark is a very talented amateur bookbinder, and took away several Archive items for restoration. Many thanks to Simon Atkins, Head of Drama, for taking the time to talk to Mark about the theatre.

Eliot House
We need information on (and from) girls who were in Eliot House - the Archive has lots of copies of photos but few originals, and all are un-named. If you can help by donating photos or identifying faces, please email    .

Wednesday 18th January 2012
We welcomed Roderick Cox OV who paid us a flying visit during last Saturday's Open Morning. The visit was unplanned, and Roderick was pleased to find the Archive open - which it will be, during future King's (senior) School Open Mornings.

David Gregory OV S 1950-58 has very kindly donated some items of scout uniform. His scoutmaster was V. Rev. Pocock, Precentor of the Cathedral at the time.

We are grateful for the donation of:

several items of school uniform from Mrs. Michael Sharman: Michael Sharman OV Ca (1943-46)

two CDs of Britten's "War Requiem", and Elgar's "Caractacus", on which Clive Marks OV (1969-1974) sings as a member of the London Symphony Chorus. The CDs have been given to the Music Department.

Tuesday 11th October.
Many thanks for items received in July 2011 from Pam Baker, and Roy Padden.
Also a copy of a short speech made by Trevor Wilson (S 38-42) at the recent reunion.

We are grateful for the donation of several items from Mr. Derek Sheffer, including the rowing calendar illustrated, at the recent O.V. Reunion Weekend.

Cricket and Rowing Fixtures Calendars
We need your help: we are compiling a chronological list of Captains and Secretaries of Boats for an Honours Board in the new boathouse, and we want to get it right!
Do you have any printed cricket & rowing fixtures calendars similar to the one pictured?
As you see, the captains and secretaries are listed on the front, so we know it is accurate. If you have one that you are happy to give, or supply a photocopy of, we would be very grateful.

Tuesday 4th October
We were visited by Trevor Wilson (O.V. School 1938-1942) and Mrs. Wilson.
