Entrance Procedure

Registration

Once you have visited The King's School, either on an Open Morning or a working day, and you have decided you would like your son or daughter to be considered for a place, the first step is to complete a registration form which is enclosed in the prospectus pack.  Alternatively, a copy can be downloaded from this website. Please submit the completed form, together with the non-returnable registration fee of £25, to the Registrar. (Submission of this form does not guarantee a place for your child at King's, which is dependent upon their performance in our entrance tests.)

Following registration, we will keep you informed throughout the application process.  At the end of the Autumn Term preceeding the year of entry, we will ask you to confirm that your child will be attending the entrance test and if you are interested in bursarial assistance or a music scholarship.  When you have indicated your preferences we will then send you further details, which will include what to expect on testing day and specimen papers.

We still have a few places available for entry into Years 7 and 9 in September 2012.    There may also be opportunities to join in Year 8, please enquire.

11+/12+13+  Saturday 2nd February 2013
16+ 24th/25th and 28th January 2013
