Academic Scholarships
An academic scholarship is an award made to a child who shows outstanding academic potential. All candidates sitting an entrance test at 11+, 13+ or 16+ are automatically considered for an academic scholarship – there are no separate examinations, however candidates for 11+ and 16+ academic scholarships will be invited to interview prior to awards being made. The size of a scholarship can vary but the maximum is one third of the cost of fees.
It is possible to be awarded both a scholarship and a bursary. The maximum combined award would normally be between one third and 50% of the fees but could be greater in the case of a gifted child from a family with limited means.

Music Scholarships
Music scholarship awards are offered at 11+, 13+ and 16+ entry. A music scholarship may be up to one-third tuition fees and is often accompanied by free tuition on one instrument (or in singing) or a combination of the two. Holders of music awards will be expected to take a full share in the musical life of the School. They will retain their award as long as their academic and musical progress and their conduct continue to be satisfactory.
The dates for music scholarship auditions for September 2013 entry will be as follows:
16+ Thursday 24th January 2013
11+/13+ Friday 1st February 2013
