Forms (Years 7 and 8)

Pupils in Years 7 and 8 are cared for by a Form master or mistress, who oversees the welfare of a class of up to twenty-three young people. The twelve Form tutors are chosen for their expertise with eleven to thirteen year olds. Each Form master or mistress sees his or her class at the start of the day and is able to help pupils if they have worries or difficulties.

The Form master or mistress also delivers PSHE in a weekly lesson to his or her class, so that time can be spent on issues which are of concern to young people today. Parents are able to keep in regular contact with their child's Form tutor. The Head of Fourth Forms, Mr Longley, along with his Deputy, Mrs Rutter, supports the pupils and staff in Years 7 and 8.
