Rowing
The King's School Worcester Boat Club (KSWBC) is fortunate enough to have its own boathouse, which is based within the main school grounds. The boathouse's location on the River Severn just downstream from Worcester Cathedral, gives our rowers a unique perspective of the city and its history.
Rowing is offered to pupils from Lower Remove (Year 9) and above. It is available to pupils within the games programme during the school day; pupils may then, in addition, wish to join the Club, which competes at Regional, National and International competitions. Members of the Boat Club train on selected evenings after school and Saturdays. The Boat Club is an extremely social club with a number of fundraising and social events throughout the year. The social events culminate with a black tie Annual Boat Club Dinner for friends, family and rowers to enjoy and celebrate the year's successes.
