Rugby

Rugby is the major boy's sport in the autumn term with Saturday fixtures often involving 12 teams from King's. Training and matches take place at the school fields at Slingpool Walk and the school is very fortunate to have a large number of well qualified coaches on the staff. The fixture list involves games for all senior teams on every weekend in the autumn term and there are some midweek matches, usually cup games, whilst the majority of the Under 12 fixtures are held on Friday afternoons.

After Christmas all year groups play in a number of Seven-a-Side competitions with preparation for these running in parallel with the football programme. Major tours to Australia and South Africa as well as European trips are undertaken regularly.

Training for the different age group teams takes place at the following times:-

First and Second XV (normally U6 and L6) Wednesday afternoon 2.30-4.30pm and Mondays and Thursdays after school, from 4.15-5.45pm. After half-term, Monday training often takes place at Malvern RFC (transport provided) from 4.15-5.45pm
