Studying the Arts at The King's School, Worcester

King's has a proud artistic tradition, spread over three umbrella disciplines:

Our art department consistently achieves the highest examination results, encouraging students to engage with both art and self-expression. We feel that by guiding these explorations our pupils come to create original, dynamic work in a variety of media.

Drama is central to the school, both academically and socially - performances bring staff and pupils together as well as giving drama students the chance to show off their abilities - and opens students up to the canon of theatrical literature. We've been pleased to host several professional dancers who've helped our budding actors through various workshops and groups, all of which leads to the popular annual Dance Showcase.

Music is equally important at King's, where we offer diverse techniques in many styles across many instruments. As with all of our arts subjects, classroom learning is supported with plenty of opportunity to play music at school events, both individually and in group efforts.
