Curriculum
Years 7 & 8
GCSE
All pupils are entered for the GCSE examinations, most of which are taken at the end of the Fifth Form year. In Mathematics the students do the iGCSE examination. Pupils usually choose to study ten GCSE subjects for the two years in Year 10 and Year 11. The subjects that all pupils take are:
English: both Language and Literature, leading to two GCSEs.
Mathematics
Physics, Chemistry and Biology: leading either to three GCSEs or to a "dual award" examination.
A Modern Foreign Language: at least one of French, German or Spanish.
Physical Education and Games (non-examined)
PSE and Religious Education (non-examined)
Additionally, pupils choose three subjects from the list below:

Sixth Form
At the end of the Lower Sixth year, pupils may choose to drop one of the subjects they have studied to AS level. All pupils will be expected to sit the AS examinations at the end of the Lower Sixth year. Modules are taken at the winter and summer sessions.
