Languages

The King's School Modern Languages Department promotes highly effective language learning across the age and ability range. French, German and Spanish are offered from beginner's level to A level and beyond. All three are taught in a 'Carousel' i.e. a taster course in Year 7 before the first GCSE language is selected. All pupils take up a second foreign language again in Year 8 with the option to pursue this through to GCSE and A Level.
