Maths Activities
Throughout the School it is our aim to make Mathematics as enjoyable and as interesting as possible whilst still requiring our pupils to be able to do it in the most appropriate way. Staff are sympathetic to those who find things difficult and will go out of their way, if necessary, to help but they will endeavour to stretch those for whom that is appropriate. As such the Maths department offer a range of activities throughout the year:
| Maths Club There is a weekly Maths Club for pupils in years 7 and 8, where pupils have the chance to enjoy some team competitions, mathematical paper folding, code breaking, puzzles and much more! |

Maths Clinic The department also runs a Maths Clinic three times a week. This provides an opportunity for pupils from year 7 to year 13 to get some extra help with anything they have found difficult, coursework or examination revision. |

Inter-Form Challenges The Mathematics department organises various internal competitions for pupils. These include Inter-Form Team Challenges in Years 7 and 8, an Inter-House Team Challenge for Years 9 and 10 and an Inter-House Countdown competition. |

Maths Mayhem At the end of the summer term we hold 'Maths Mayhem' for year 7 pupils. There are a range of activities on offer including a Maths trail in the school gardens as well as team competitions and puzzles. |
