It was an absolute pleasure to welcome back to King’s the year of 2009 on Saturday 14th December as they marked 10 years since leaving school. Rain didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits as the group set off first on tours of school, reacquainting themselves with familiar spots as well as exploring the newer facilities on site. The group finished with a drinks reception in The Michael Baker Boathouse for a lively evening of catching up with friends and former teachers.
The group were delighted to hear a few words on the health of the School from Russ Mason (Hon OV) and Tim Keyes (Hon OV), who was Headmaster when the year of 2009 were at School also said how lovely it was to see them as well as reflecting on some of the highlights and wider world events of 2009. It was a particular pleasure to hear where the last ten years have taken our OVs, with the group now working in a diversity of interesting professions, living around the UK and further afield. It was lovely to meet other halves and even two gorgeous babies who at less than a year old were enjoying a late night and their first ever School reunion!
