Afternoon Tea with Heart – A Celebration of Community

This week, our Year 6 pupils hosted a truly special Afternoon Tea for members of the local community, including guests from Better Together and The Sanders Senior Living. The event was filled with warmth, smiles, and meaningful conversations, creating a memorable afternoon for everyone involved.

As part of our Year 6 enrichment programme, this occasion is designed not only to celebrate their final term with us, but to develop confidence, empathy, and character as they prepare for their move to senior school.

The children shone throughout the afternoon, greeting and serving guests with kindness and care. Their thoughtful conversations and respectful hosting were a testament to their maturity and sense of social responsibility, they truly did us proud.

A highlight of the event was a fantastic group performance from the year group, alongside impressive solo musical performances by George, Jackson, and Zara, each showcasing talent and courage in front of a delighted audience.

Events like this remind us of the power of intergenerational connection, and how moments of shared joy and kindness can make a lasting impact.

A heartfelt thank you to Better Together, The Sanders Senior Living, and all our guests for joining us. And of course, a big well done to Year 6 for leading with such heart.
