King's Hawford
14 December
All the fun of the fayre!
The magic of Christmas is well and truly alive at King’s Hawford with the arrival of our Christmas Fayre. On Friday afternoon excitement amongst our pupils was at an all time high as they prepared to visit the school’s Fayre! This annual event is always a highlight of the year for our pupils and staff. Wrapped up against the elements pupils descended on the school gardens with their parents, grandparents and siblings.
There was a brilliant buzz as the children moved excitedly between the different stalls. Each year group worked together to run their own stalls with the help of their teachers. Pupils have spent time over the past few weeks crafting products to sell and games to play. The King’s Hawford Parents’ Association were on hand with hot drinks and refreshments.

Pupils showed off their musical talents at busking stations. Well done to Michelle Z, Olivia G, Pip K, Sam M, Bella W, James B, Ben L, Max M, Barnaby B, Darcy B, Harry C, Joshy R, Jetta P, Holly J, Austin R, Thomas C and Jack M. Thank you to Mrs Allsop and her woodwind group for their contributions.

Father Christmas was also in attendance and our younger children were very pleased he had taken time out of his busy schedule to meet each of them. Each child was able to spend time talking with Father Christmas and his two elves.

The event concluded with carols around the Christmas tree where Reception sang ‘We Wish you a Merry Christmas’ and ‘Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer’ with accompanying signs. Years 1 and 2 performed ‘Sleeping in a manager’ from their nativity play. All of the King’s Hawford staff joined together for the final carol.

As always this wonderful occasion showcased the strength of the King’s Hawford community. Thank you to all those who joined us.
