Many congratulations to OV Freddie Rostand (Ch 71-76) whose production company, Rostand Productions, has won the 2020 Corporate LiveWire Award for the South of England!
Following a 20-year career as a Senior Broadcast Journalist with BBC TV News and Documentaries, Freddie struck out and set up his own production company in 2009. The work has taken him all over the world, from filming the Tepuis and Angel Falls in Venezuela, to major drama shoots in the USA. The company works across all sectors, from major corporates to charities, NGO’s and SME’s.
The Best Corporate Production Company in the South of the UK from the Corporate Livewire Prestige Awards was a most welcome surprise after all the difficulties and tribulations caused by the pandemic. Fortunately they had a lot of work to edit during lockdown.
“Obviously we’re delighted to win the award,” said Freddie, “especially as we’re doing something we really love and enjoy”.
Up against more than 20 competitors, the judges commented Rostand were way ahead in production values, the journalistic storytelling and creative skills.
“Much of it is, I believe, down to the extraordinary range of skills I was fortunate to learn at the BBC and then to apply those to a commercial environment. Like everything nowadays, it’s a very competitive world, so anything that gives you an edge is a great help.”
