Cakes galore at Macmillan Coffee Morning

The Pre-Prep department at King’s St Alban’s kicked off another busy week by hosting a coffee morning in the Pre-Prep Hall in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Cakes were donated in bountiful quantities, from Victoria sponge to lemon drizzle, flapjack to chocolate brownies to accompany a bottomless pot of freshly brewed coffee (or tea!) A few cheeky little faces joined their parents for a mid-morning treat, devouring cakes before returning to lessons. And believe it or not there was still plenty of cake left once everyone had gone home which, of course, the staff were delighted about.

It was a pleasure to welcome parents into the Pre-Prep, getting everyone together for a natter having not been able to do so for some time! We hope to see many more events of a similar nature as the academic year progresses.

In total, we raised £162 for Macmillan Cancer Support ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’, one of the many fundraising initiatives run by the charity raising funds for an extremely worthy. Thank you to everyone who attended, donating funds as well as cakes!
