Celebrating Musical Achievements: ABRSM Examination Results Announced.

After months of dedicated practice and hard work, our pupils’ remarkable efforts have paid off, with outstanding results in the recent ABRSM examinations. The ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) music exams are internationally recognised assessments designed to evaluate and reward musical skill and understanding. These exams are highly regarded and offer a structured framework for learners to develop their musical abilities across a variety of instruments and disciplines.

ABRSM exams are divided into practical and theory components:

1. Practical Exams: These assess performance on a chosen instrument or voice. Candidates are tested on:
   • Pieces or Songs: Typically, three pieces from a set syllabus, demonstrating a range of styles and techniques.
   • Scales and Arpeggios: To test technical proficiency and knowledge of the instrument.
   • Sight-Reading: The ability to read and perform a piece of music they have not seen before.
   • Aural Tests: To evaluate listening skills and musical perception.

ABRSM music exams are an excellent way for pupils to measure their progress, receive constructive feedback, and achieve recognised qualifications in their musical journey. These exams support and inspire learners to reach their full potential and enjoy the rewards of their hard work and dedication.
