Celebrating Success: Spring Term Week 7

Thank you to Tom’s big brother, Austin, who opened our assembly with an exciting electric guitar performance.  It really was an amazing performance and started the assembly so well!

  • All of our Reception children were congratulated on the excellent assembly they delivered to parents, all about ‘people who help us.’  The children dressed up to represent police, firefighters, our lovely secretary, Sara, and Mr Chapman! Well done all of you on a wonderful assembly.
  • Hugo received an award for his tremendous enthusiasm and focus in all his learning.
  • For always trying her best and making good choices, Tiegan earned a Super Star award.

Year 1

  • Amber received a Kindness award for being a thoughtful and helpful friend.
  • A Focus award went to Hugo for his great attitude to working remotely this week.

Year 2

  • Cerys was the class Super Star for making a huge effort with her handwriting.
  • For his kindness when helping another child learn to type on an iPad, Ben earned a Kindness award.

Year 3

  • Brody received a well-deserved shout-out for his patience and helpfulness with a boy who was rather nervous during a taster day this week.

Year 4

  • Sam also received a mention for being helpful and caring when looking after a child who joined us for a taster day.
  • Lily G, Charlotte, Sebastian and George were congratulated on the super Roman shields they constructed. All the children used their shields to recreate Roman army formations to great effect.
  • Following a hugely enjoyable Shakespeare workshop with Mr Braithwaite, Year 4 have been writing rhyming couplet poems based on the witches’ spell.  Millie, Lily, Ana, Alice, Suzie, Monty, Lottie and Shreya received a round of applause for their particularly impressive work.

Year 6

  • Arabella, Tommy, J-M and Yiming wrote excellent poems about modern day highwaymen, with excellent use of metaphors and similes.
  • Mrs Clark congratulated the girls who took part in the U11 Worcester County Hockey tournament this week.  They played three superb games despite not having played hockey yet this term!  Well done, Evie, Mia, Ivy, Lily-Mae, Olivia, Lucia and Mea. The team now move on to the regional competition later in the term. Good luck!

Times tables

  • Today we awarded 17 times tables certificates, including Gold for Shreya.  Well done, all and keep up the good work!
