Celebrating Success Summer Term: Week 7
Pupils have hit the ground running after a restful half term break and there was much to celebrate at this morning’s celebration assembly.
Reception
- Mikaeel earned a Super Star certificate for working hard and making the right choices.
- Winston received a Risk Taking certificate thanks to his independent thinking about idea for his written work.
Year 1
- A Focus certificate was awarded to Luna for her super concentration in her written work this week.
- Charlie was the class Super Star for giving his all in every task.
Year 2
- Daniel has made a huge effort with his handwriting and so earned a Focus award.
- For always being kind and thoughtful, Iris received a Kindness award.
- Congratulations to Max on passing Level 5 in swimming.
Year 3
- Millie, Romy, Jasper and Nell were congratulated on their excellent work on capital cities and flags.
- Alban won the inter house chess competition for Year 3, representing Wilson. Well done, Alban.
Year 4
- Well done to Ariya, Madie and Luca on their great work on histograms and bar charts when looking at their resting heart rate.
- The children’s mapping skills were put to the test this week when they created treasure maps using co-ordinates, a compass and a key. Well done to Tilly, Ivy, Archie, Albert and Charlotte, who clearly paid great attention to detail when presenting their work.
- Albert won the inter house chess competition for Year 4, representing Bailey. Well done, Albert.
- Well done to Will and Archie on their excellent performances at this week’s athletics meet at RGS The Grange. Will came 2nd with an exciting finish in the 200m and Archie won the 80m in an outstanding 12.51 seconds.
Year 5
- Jasper, Monty and Helena were commended on their excellent use of the ‘show don’t tell’ technique in their story writing.
- In science, the children have been learning about reproduction in plants and Emily, Lottie and Otto proudly showed us their beautifully illustrated work.
- Mrs Cain has been teaching the children about Native American artwork, which the children have incorporated into tepee designs. Well done to Aelwen, Lily E, Jasper, George, Monty and Helena on some super designs.
- Huge congratulations to Helena on her performance at this week’s athletics meet at RGS The Grange. She came first in the 600m with an impressive time of 2 minutes 6.4 seconds
- Congratulations to Evie an a superb performance in 7 races at the recent Southwold Gala.
- Will R won the inter house chess competition for Year 5, representing Thomas. Well done, Will.
Year 6
- Well done to James on a superb performance at the Southwold Gala over Half Term. He came home with a terrific hall of medals, including one Gold, and 8 personal best times. He also represented KSA in the 25m backstroke at the IAPS National Finals in London, coming eight in the country. What a fantastic result, well done James!
- Mortimer won the inter house chess competition for Year 6, representing Thomas. Well done, Mortimer.
Times tables
- We gave out 14 certificates today, including Gold awards for Evie, Albert, Charlie and Ariya.
