Celebration Assembly: Highlighting This Week’s Success!

A Big Thank You for Charity Day! 

In assembly, Mr. Butt kicked off with a heartfelt congratulations to everyone for their efforts on Charity Day. As a school, we raised an incredible £2,000 in just one day! This is a fantastic start to this term’s charity fund. A huge thank you to everyone who participated, contributed, and made the day such a success.

HMA’S

  • Cassian W (4KC): Impressive Viking printing – a bold and detailed work that showcased historical creativity!
  • Maddie P (3GH): Created a captivating Egyptian death mask, rich in cultural significance and artistic skill.
  • Emily G (3VL): A stunning painting inspired by the vibrant style of Hundertwasser.
  • Chester L (3VL): Another beautiful painting in the Hundertwasser style – bold colours and intricate patterns truly brought the work to life.
  • Ottilie D (1JR): Designed creative speech bubbles for a rat, demonstrating great imagination and humour.
  • Ben B (6CR): Demonstrated Resilience and Ambition in his approach to the Couch to 5K program. A great  example of determination and personal growth!

Swimming Success: Pippa P 

A massive round of applause for Pippa P, who earned an astonishing 9 medals at the Pershore and Wychavon Gala in Worcester. Not only did she excel in every event, but she also achieved personal bests in all her races!

Badges

We are thrilled to announce that two badges have been awarded this week to children who went above and beyond outside of school to meet the criteria for our badges.

  • Millie B: Earned the MFL Badge
  • Finley R: Awarded the Reading Owl Badge

This week, Mr. Hodkins gave a talk recapping the Cardiff Sports Tour, reflecting on the fantastic experience for everyone involved.

He praised the children for their exceptional behaviour both on and off the pitch, noting how well-mannered all children were and what a credit they were to the school.

As part of the recap, three trophies were awarded to recognize individual achievements. Mr. Hodgkins congratulated these three children for their improvement in sportsmanship, excellent manners, and for being a true credit to the school, both on and off the pitch.

  • Best Tourist: Ben PW

Music Exam Success

Congratulations to Thomas C for passing his ABRSM Grade 5 Theory examination. This is an impressive achievement in Year 6 and bodes well for the future where a pass in this exam is needed to continue through any instrumental or singing Practical ABRSM Grades 6-8 and beyond.
