Celebration Assembly 6th November 2020

Our weekly Celebration Assembly, where we all come together as a school to celebrate our learning and take pride in our progress, was a great start to the half term.  It was enjoyed live by Year 6 and virtually by other year groups.

We began today’s Celebration Assembly by awarding 37 bronze times-tables certificates to children in Years 3 and 4. Well done all of you!

Mrs Pitts was delighted by her class, who have been writing a ship’s log based on their class reading book, Kensuke’s Kingdom by Michael Morpurgo. The children focussed on including references to their senses to bring their writing to life, with Guy, Eamon, Mia and Sidney earning particular mention for their effort.

4J wrote ‘A Day in the Life of a Celt’ as part of their humanities studies and Miss Jordan was especially pleased with Eddie and Isabelle for their hard work.

In 3E, Sienna, Florence, Lottie and James were congratulated on their industry and perseverance when writing about The Minpins by Roald Dahl.

Finally, well done to Poppy who has been busy trying to earn all six of Blue Peter’s ‘Six Badges of Summer.’ So far she has earned the Green, Sports and Music badges and is determined to get the remaining three badges too. Well done, Poppy!
