It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas in Pre-Prep!

Pre-Prep and Nursery have been feeling festive this week and they have loved taking part in a range of Christmas themed activities.

On Monday, Nursery spent the morning making some beautiful Christmas tree decorations. They made their very own Father Christmases to hang on the tree, complete with glitter, a fluffy white beard and a bobble on his hat. On Tuesday, all of the Nursery children enjoyed getting dressed up in their best festive outfits for a Christmas party. They had great fun singing songs, playing and dancing to some party tunes!

On Tuesday morning, Reception, Year One and Year Two walked to Worcester Cathedral to see the Christmas tree display in the cloisters. The children loved walking around and spotting the different decorations and styles of trees, including some beautiful rainbow trees.  Afterwards, all of the Pre-Prep children enjoyed a Christmas Crafts afternoon where they made some delicious Rudolph cakes and Christmas tree decorations. The children finished the afternoon with a virtual visit from Father Christmas. He had a special message for the children and wished them all a very happy Christmas, all the way (via Zoom) from Lapland. How amazing!

On Wednesday, the children started the day by participating in the annual Inter-House Christmas quiz.  Reception had to collect snowballs and put them into the House box and then had a fun round of musical statues. Year One played games including dress the snowman, where the House team had to wrap someone in toilet roll, dress them in a hat and scarf and give them a carrot nose! Year Two tested their knowledge of Christmas with a big Christmas Kahoot quiz.

It was a fantastic end to a super term. The children have continued to amaze us with their flexibility, fantastic attitude towards all of school life and sense of fun in what has been a testing year. We wish all of our families a Happy Christmas and we look forward to seeing you all again next year.
